Our History
HISTORY OF GOULBURN VALLEY EQUINE HOSPITAL
Established in 1988, Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital has expanded and developed into a major equine referral and first opinion practice and hospital.
Following the commencement of a partnership with The University of Melbourne in July 2017 significant improvements have been made to maintain the clinics position as a leader in its field. Our ‘working together’ partnership enables Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students from the university to undertake their equine rotation with us, with some hopefully continuing a career in equine practice.
A significant proportion of our staff rank amongst the leading equine clinicians of the world and are capably supported by multidisciplinary professional and administrative staff. The first priority of all our staff is the welfare and care of our patients to the highest standard possible.
Continual investment in modern diagnostic equipment and ongoing professional development provides the best possible resources for our clinical staff to assess and treat every possible eventuality presented to us.
From the humble beginnings created by Dr Angus McKinnon and Dr Jim Vasey the Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital of today is an energetic and multidisciplinary practice at the forefront of the modern equine industry.
